Charlotte’s Web is a hemp cultivar that was specifically bred by the Stanley Brothers of Colorado for its high CBD and low THC content.

Charlotte’s Web was developed in 2011 by the Stanley brothers through crossbreeding a strain of marijuana with industrial hemp.

This process created a variety with less tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and more cannabidiol (CBD) than typical varieties of marijuana. The variety shows potential for medical usage, especially for those who do not wish to experience the typical high of recreational marijuana use.
